Interns will be assigned to conduct research on energy security and environmental sustainability including through North-East Asian Subregional Programme for Environmental Cooperation (NEASPEC) and assist in the implementation of activities. Specific topics and works will be mutually agreed with his/her supervisor. Five thematic areas of NEASPEC are as follows:
•Transboundary air pollution
•Marine protected areas
•Dust and sandstorms Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual’s background and the intern’s assigned office as well as the internship period. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
•Assistance in drafting and preparing official documents
•Attending and summarizing conferences and meetings
•Document, legal and internet research
•Assistance during conferences
•Working on web-presentation
•Evaluation of projects
